International Business Comprehensive Major, 72 hours: B.S.-No Minor Required

The International Business degree provides students with the general business bases and the specialized knowledge to prepare them for a career in today’s global environment. This degree prepares students to succeed in business while working in the global economy. Students will be engaged in learning about international politics, managing international teams, economics, and marketing.

Students choosing a comprehensive major in International Business must complete and earn a minimum grade of C for each of the courses in the Common Professional Component  and the required courses in the major.

International Experience (6 hours)


Six hours of business credit which may include courses of study and/or internship in a foreign country.

Exemptions from the foreign study requirement are available only with the permission of the School Director.

International students may choose to fulfill this requirement through internships or other business courses at Northwest.

Cultural Understanding (6 hours)


Students must complete six hours from Option A or B based upon advisement. Option B is required unless the student is fluent in a foreign language.

Six hours above the introductory level in any modern language

Free electives as needed to reach minimum 120 graduation hours
