Common Professional Component Requirements for Accredited Business Programs

Location(s): Online, On Campus


To ensure a common professional business foundation among the accredited business programs, all students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Management, Business Technology, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management Information Systems, and Marketing are required to achieve a minimum grade of C for each of the Common Professional Component and required courses.

Note: Business Administration and Human Resource Management are not yet accredited.

MATH 17114 - General Statistics  or MATH 17116 - Mathematical Modeling  fulfills a Northwest Core requirement as well as a requirement of the major, but the number of credit hours may be counted only once toward the total number of credit hours required for graduation.

MATH 17116 - Mathematical Modeling  is recommended, but MATH 17117 - Precalculus , MATH 17118 - Precalculus Algebra , and MATH 17120 - Calculus I  will also be accepted for fulfilling this requirement.

Note:


ECON 52150 - Principles of Macroeconomics  fulfills a Northwest Core requirement as well as a requirement of the major, but the number of credit hours may be counted only once toward the total number of credit hours required for graduation.

Total Credit Hours: 48


Courses listed under the appropriate major must be completed in addition to the above Common Professional Component requirements.
