MATH 17227 - Math in the Elementary School Credit Hours: 2 In this course, candidates will learn strategies and skills necessary for the instruction of mathematics in the elementary school with an emphasis on inquiry learning and conceptual understanding. Content will focus on counting, number sense, number and operations, place value, measurement, and early fraction understanding.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 17171 , EDCI 62108 , and EDCI 62116 each with a grade of C or better. Corequisite(s): Elementary and Special Education majors: EDCI 62225 . Typically Offered: FA, SP
