The Spanish Certificate Program is designed to offer a certificate to those students who complete a total of 12 hours of coursework in Spanish. The completion of this certificate will recognize an Intermediate High/Advanced Low proficiency in Spanish language as well as oral and written communication skills.

Certificate must be completed with a Bachelor’s degree; it is not a stand-alone program.

Spanish Certificate Core (12 hours)

LANG 14142 - Spanish: Communication and Culture II Credit Hours: 3
LANG 14242 - Intermediate Spanish for Communication and Culture I Credit Hours: 3
LANG 14243 - Intermediate Spanish for Communication and Culture II Credit Hours: 3
LANG 14344 - Advanced Conversation in Spanish Credit Hours: 3
OR
LANG 14345 - Advanced Spanish Composition Credit Hours: 3

Note:

Spanish I (LANG 14141 ) is a prerequisite for Spanish II (LANG 14142 ). Both Spanish I and Spanish II may be satisfied by taking the test out relevant to each course.
