This curriculum does not lead to a degree by itself, but is intended to complement and be utilized in conjunction with the student’s academic degree program. Credits earned in military science courses are applicable toward graduation requirements as general electives.

Military Science General Information

Military Obligations: Currently an officer candidate who is commissioned through the GOLD program is assigned to a unit within the Missouri National Guard depending on his or her desires and/or the needs of the service at the time of commission.

Class Location: With the exception of a two-week paid annual training, most basic course instruction is presented on campus. Various field exercises are conducted to further enrich students’ leadership skills for advanced-course students.
