GEOL 27440 - Sedimentology and Stratigraphy Credit Hours: 4 A comprehensive study of the principles and processes involved in sedimentary petrology and stratigraphy covering sediment production, transportation, deposition, and lithification, depositional environments, litho-/chrono-/bio-/sequence- stratigraphic concepts, and correlation. Students learn to apply fundamental techniques for environmental interpretations through lecture-laboratory exercises.
Prerequisite(s): GEOL 27212 Recommended Prerequisite(s): GEOL 27369 Hours per week: Three one-hour lectures and one two-hour lab.
