HPER 22556 - Health in the Later Years


Credit Hours: 3
This course considers aging from three perspectives: physical aspect of an aging body, health care of the elderly, and current health issues for aging Americans. The course begins by investigating theories of aging, changes in the body with age, mental health and wellness, chronic health conditions, and prevention and health promotion. It concludes with lessons addressing the upcoming Age Wave and what it means for health care services and providers.
