EDUC 61569 - Multiculturalism in Education


Credit Hours: 3
This course is designed to impart a knowledge of and sensitivity to issues which foster potential prejudices and discrimination. These issues will include race, national origin, sexism, religion, handicaps (physical and mental), economic position and others. Methodology in humanizing the curriculum, sensitivity issues, historical perspectives, and means by which dehumanizing biases may be recognized in instructional materials shall also be included in the content of this course.

Prerequisite(s): Junior classification.
