EDUC 61324 - Intervention & Assessment: Literacy, Special Populations, and English Language Credit Hours: 2 Candidates in this course will investigate multiple assessment instruments to identify reading and writing challenges and plan effective instruction and intervention for middle school, secondary, and K-12 students. Emphasis is placed upon understanding the major causes of reading, writing, and processing challenges and using a variety of assessment strategies to plan instruction with interventions. Candidates in this course will learn evidence-based strategies of intervention to support children in the general education classroom as well as the special education and ELL classrooms.
