Foundational underpinnings of topics central to theoretical Computer Science. Topics include (but are not limited to) Logic and Sets, Proofs, Evaluation of Algorithms, Automata, Graphs, Recursion, Computability, and Grammars.

Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing and a minimum grade of C in CSIS 44141 and any of the following: MATH 17117 or MATH 17118 or MATH 17120.
