GEOL 27515 - Environmental Regulations


Credit Hours: 3
An introduction to federal and state regulations and major issues associated with the environment acts, including air quality, water quality, endangered species, critical zones, the disposal of hazardous waste, environmental justice, etc. Additionally, project development at local, state, federal, and international levels (e.g., Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Impact Assessment / Design) will be discussed. 

Prerequisite(s): GEOL 27360  or BIOL 04420  or GEOG 32401  or BIOL 04368   or permission of instructor.
Hours per week: Three lecture hours each week.
