The Trauma Studies program is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare professionals to respond effectively to the complex psychological, social, and systemic impacts of trauma. Grounded in current research and evidence-based practices, this program emphasizes the development of advanced competencies in trauma-informed care, equipping graduates to lead change across clinical, organizational, educational, and community settings.
Students will examine trauma through multiple lenses–including psychological, neurobiological, sociocultural, and policy perspectives–to understand both individual and collective responses to trauma. The curriculum integrates theory, applied practive, and reflective learning to foster a deep understanding of resilience, recover, and post-traumatic growth.
