MATH 17618 - Number Theory with Applications


Credit Hours: 3

This course is an introduction to theories and applications involving the set of integers. Topics will include divisibility, prime numbers, congruences, Diophantine equations, Chinese remainder theorem, quadratic residues and reciprocity, and cryptography.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to M.S. Mathematics or M.S.Ed. Teaching: Mathematics program or consent of instructor.
