LANG 14447 - Latin American Civilization I

This course will examine a wide range of issues relating to Latin American culture and history from the great ancient civilizations to the Spanish conquest and colony, and Independence. Students will read a variety of texts that address various social, cultural, economical, and historical issues confronting Latin America during that period.
