GEOL 27220 - Mineralogy

A survey of chemical and physical mineralogy including identification of minerals, structural grouping of minerals, occurrence of silicate minerals, as well as deposits and uses of non-silicate minerals.

Prerequisite(s): GEOL 27110 and GEOL 27111 or GEOL 27114 and GEOL 27115, and CHEM 24114 and CHEM 24115 (must obtain a grade of C or higher) or permission of the instructor.
Hours per week: Three lectures and one two-hour lab per week.
