This course intends to assist teacher candidates to develop an understanding of assessment in early childhood education (Birth-8) and identify the best strategies to assess children’s learning and development. Some main topics included in the course are assessment and evaluation, progress monitoring, screening, and using the assessment data to support children’s learning and development.
