BIOL 04435 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy


Credit Hours: 4
An advanced course designed to familiarize students with fundamental and in-depth aspects of anatomy, evolution, and functional morphology in vertebrate animals. Laboratory includes hands-on dissection and examination of all major body systems in selected vertebrates. A course open to all students, but in particular an excellent option to prepare pre-veterinary students for veterinary school.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 04114  and BIOL 04115  with a minimum grade of C and PHYS 25110  and PHYS 25111  OR PHYS 25120  and PHYS 25121  or permission of instructor.
Hours per week: Two hours of lecture and four hours of lab per week.
