SCGD 68628 - Supervised Practice in Elementary/Secondary School Counseling

Credit Hours: 3

This course is designed to help the student develop counseling skills prior to participating in a final practicum at a school. Students will prepare audio and/or video tapes of actual and simulated counseling sessions. The practicum will include experience in individual counseling. This course should be taken as close to the end of the student’s program as possible, and yet may not be taken the same semester as the actual final field practicum.

Prerequisite(s): SCGD 68570, SCGD 68610, SCGD 68640 and permission of advisor.
