CHEM 24562 - General Biochemistry

An introductory course in biochemistry which deals with selected topics in the field. The description and function of amino acids, proteins, fats, nucleic acids, and certain carbohydrates will be discussed. Enzymes and their role in metabolic processes will be emphasized.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 24342 and CHEM 24343 with a minimum grade of C.
Hours per week: Three hours of lecture and recitation per week.
